Sign language corpus methods

Sign language corpora are powerful resources for describing how deaf people use sign languages. You can read about good practices in corpus annotation or building a directly comparable corpus of Auslan and Australian English. We wrote about the interesting possibilities for combining sign language corpus methods with linguistic ethnography. We also analysed how corpus methods can differentiate languages versus individuals in cross-linguistic typology.
